Yep, I'm going to keep posting here. lol This is so darn easy, as I'm sure you all have figured out by now. I can even control everything from Semagic. lol :) so, I had a nice long Skype call going last night with this girl from Texas. It was awesome. Basically it was one of those "Hey, now that I've got you laughing with me, let's just keep this going" things. Anyway, she's pretty cool. By the way, if you haven't checked out Skype, I seriouslytthink you should. It's good for you! lol :) Anyway, I've finally switched over to FTP Radio for a while--that's a radio station that is only available for For The People members. It's loads of fun over there. It's kinda difficult to stay in one place. I mean, I'm all over--I hang out some with the FTP crowd, then I go hang out with the TBRN folks, and then who knows where next. I tend to be connected like that. I mean, some of the places I go are such polar opposites, seemingly. I'm just weird like that I guess. Anyway, that's my life. Oh and I got this email from a good friend of mine earlier today so that was cool. And let's see ... Oh yeah, I'll be gone most of tomorrow, unfortunately. I hope it's more fun than I think it isn't going to be. I mean, basically, we're taking our trailor and setting it up, which who knows how long that'll take. and my parents want me to go with them. I'll probably just stand there like "Er, what ya want me to do?" Yeah, talk about boooooooooooooooring! Oh well. Could be worse. I'll be back here tomorrow for sure anyway, so that's cool. I'll probably post about it or something tomorrow. Anyway, who knew I'd be blogging like everyone else--no topic, nothing really professional, nothing really of substance. It's really kinda cool. It's really liberating. :) For once I can just be completely off the wall and random. I think this is probably the longest post I've ever done to date. Yes, I said to date instead of something else. lol :) I could go in probably a couple directions here. I could talk about how I'm still single and all that, but that would be a fine example of me whining, and I don't think you guys want to read that. :) That would be bad times. Or I could just move on. Which I think I'll do right now. So, a month ago or so I switched permanently to Miranda-IM, or Miranda for short. In fact, just as I finished that sentence there, someone just came online. lol :) so, what's Miranda you ask? It's a multi-protocol instant messaging client. Since I use "the big three"--AIM, MSN, and Yahoo--it makes more sense for me to have something that supports all three so that I can just use one program. And besides, if you guys knew the horrible state of this machine, you'd croak. It's terrible. I'm lucky I've got about 25% hard drive space free. It's a little 30 gig hard drive. I really need a good external. I should just bite the bullet and head out some time soon and get me one. It would be well worth it. I've got a whole stack of CD's with my stuff that used to be on this computer--documents and music files and stuff--that really need to be taken care of. Oh well. Speaking of CD's ... I just removed the one that was in my drive that's been there since yesterday for sure. Maybe even Wednesday or something. I don't know and I don't care. lol Anyway, yeah, Mirand's cool. go find it
here.
It's great. :) Anyway, yeah, I say that word a lot--anyway. It's a cool word. And it's convenient. You know I got to thinking about language the other day. You know, we always talk about the "poetic beauty" of language, but do we ever talk about the fact that language actually is meant to be first and foremost utilitarian? I mean that we have languages for the purpose of communication. Even poetry is a form of communication. In fact, one could argue that art in and of itself is a form of communication. but anyway, (there we go again!), there are some languages that are so clunky and horrible-sounding to some that those languages are seen as somehow "inferior" in some way. Obviously, in today's multicultural world, such an attitude would get you locked up somewhere, but we all to some degree carry around with us a secret bias against some language or dialect. For example, some might consider our southern dialects to be "unintelligent" and the like. Well, certainly, that's understandable. I mean, who wants some toothless back-woods hick reading your hourly news reports? right. No offense to those sorts of ppl, but I've noticed that most of today's generation, myself included, are probably trans-dialectic if I can mangle a word that badly. :) For example, you've probably noticed that I do use Britishisms both in my writing and speaking, even though I'm an American. and if you were to hear me talking without knowing where I'm from, you'd swear I was from ... who knows where. I know some ppl who, if I didn't know any better, I'd think were from my neck of the woods instead of from Arkansas or something. I mean, seriously. It's very strange. And then there's that fun little thing where you hear an accent long enough and you start using it yourself. Like I knew this one gjy I went to college with who spent just six months down in Australia, and he's originally from like Philadelphia or something, and I heard him speaking and I'd swear to you the guy was born and lived his whole life there. It's a very strange thing. And then I have this one friend over in Birmingham, England, and if I didn't know any better, I'd swear he was a native London dweller. go figure. lol Anyway, how long can I keep writing, I wonder. I wonder what happens if I just keep writing for like the next hour or so. Hey that's a good idea. I wonder how long I can hold out. Hmm. good question. Ok, I think this currently playing track sucks. Oh, "The Home-coming Queen's Got a Gun". right. Still it sucks. Anyway, there are just some songs that I still love to this day, and then there are songs that just suck. You know what's interesting is when you have an artist that comes out with a really cool song and everyone loves it, and then they come out with a crappy song that everyone hates. I hope that doesn't happen too much to me, but hey, even if it does, I really don't care b/c I don't really care about popularity or anything like that. Anyway, yeah, songs are interesting. Writing them is a challenge. I just prefer to let them write themselves. Don't ask me to explain that if you don't get it. Just accept it and stuff. lol I know--doesn't make sense. Oh well. Could be worse. You know, I say that a lot too. Really strange stuff. I say a lot of strange things. Anyway, yeah, let's see who's on Skype right now. Ok, I just talked to my friend who I referenced before--the Texas girl. Yeah, found out she has a cat. Cats are interesting. they can be annoying. See, almost every cat I've met is very antisocial and stuff. I mean, I've seen dogs act like that too, so it's not just a cat thing. and dogs are cool too. I'm kinda partial to the small ones--the ankle biters, you know. I don't know why, I just am. anyway, I have friends who like both cats and dogs and have both. Now we're all familiar with the classic stereotyping of cats and dogs and how they don't get along with each other. But that's obviously not necessarily true. I know some cat-dog pairs that are practically joined at the hip, so you know, peace and harmony can be achieved. Yeah, I just had this crazy idea. What if I put a link in here that just brought you back here. What I mean is
this. LOL!
Hehe. :) Have fun with that link. :) So yeah, I should do some more ID's for Sarah's show. I think I could have loads of fun and stuff. If I just had the time to do it, that'd be cool. Oh well. I'll probably do some more next week or something. Yeah, I noticed I never use paragraphs and stuff when I blog. I don't have a problem with it, but I can see where that would be a problem. I think I'll just keep typing. You know there's the really cool trick that you can do in Microsoft Word where it'll type "The Quick Brown Fox jumped over the lazy dog." Yeah, it's pretty cool. I think this song sucks. I'm not a country fan so yeah. You know, in about an hour, I'll be watching a movie so yay! Anyway, this is definitely the longest post I've ever done in my life. It's pretty interesting. And it's all stream-of-consciousness about itself. That's another TBRNism. there are a lot of those that have come into my everyday voculary. It's interesting. You know this is interesting. You have to follow the bouncing ball b/c you never know where it's going to go next. This song is horrible. It's horribly written and stuff. You know, the phrase and stuff is something else I say a lot. I say a lot of things a lot. I say a lot a lot. Lots and loads of a lots and stuff. lol I also say lol a lot. wow, hey, that's the first occurrance of that word--yay! I say yay a lot too. go figure. That's another thing I say a lot--go figure. It's another handy thing to say. Just like lol and a lot and and stuff and all kinds of other things I've already referenced before in this post. Oh no! Not another country song! What's with these ppl playing this horrid music? Not even decent stuff either. I can handle some country, but this crap? Nah! give me something else! You know, I could just simply turn this instance of Winamp down and then start another one and put it on something else. Or I could ignore this. I think I'll do the latter b/c this is more fun than that anyway. This is a very depressing song. What's with country and depressing lyrics anyway? I don't get it. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. there. that's done. Yay! I also go :) all the time too. :):):):):):):):):) Yay for :)! lol! Interesting. From country to disco. Weird. Oh some guy I never talk to on Skypt signed in. Strange. He added me but never talks to me. Some ppl are weird like that, ya know? So yeah, one thing I've been saying a lot is woot. I don't know why. I have a friend who lived with some other ppl like maybe a year or two ago, and one thing they always said for fun is wootcakes. It doesn't make sense, I know. this post doesn't make sense. My brain doesn't make sense. I don't care if it makes sense or not b/c it's good to be nonsensical sometimes! So there! Yeah I said so there! I said b/c I said so! So there again! I could go blah again, but I don't want to b/c that's kinda blah. And yes I said blah twice in that sentence even though I said I wouldn't. But I did b/c I had to. You know, it's weird. You have to do something you don't want to to avoid it. go figure. Hmm. Yes, I say hmm a lot too. hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm It's interesting. I say interesting a lot too. This song is kinda poorly written and stuff. It's all RNB and slow and stuff. I end a lot of sentences with and stuff. I'm cool like that! Yeah! so, yay! Yay yay yay yay yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! What is this song? Oh ok. It's just a normal song. You know sometimes you have to wonder about some ppl now in this age of anyone being able to record anything. You know those ppl that think they can sing and they record themselves and then play it later. Some of it can be good, but some of it is horrible. I like singing. I can actually sing. It's pretty cool. Singing rocks. Yay that song ended! What's next? I hope they don't ruin it. Nothing ... nothing ... still nothing ... (dead air is bad for you) ... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH! this song--not more country, but this is a cool song despite its genre. It's cool. Ok, I think I'll post this now. Bye bye!
here.
